(How Ripples Makes a Difference)
At Ripples & Renewal Foundation, we meet people at the crossroads of hope and hardship.
Our programs are designed to offer practical, compassionate support that helps individuals in recovery rebuild stable, thriving lives — and ultimately create their own ripple effect of renewal.
Here’s how we walk alongside those ready to take the next step:
🌿 Recovery Microloans for Sober Living
Safe housing is essential for lasting recovery.
We offer small, low-interest microloans to individuals needing help with:
-
Sober living rent deposits
-
First month’s rent at a sober living/supportive living home
-
Additional sober living rent support, up to $1000 total. See Example Loan Below:

Our goal is to help individuals stay rooted in safe, supportive housing during the critical early stages of rebuilding their lives.
👉 Loans are repayable on flexible terms, and as individuals repay, those funds are recycled to help the next person — creating a continuous ripple of hope.
🏡 Transition Support for Independent Living
Moving out of sober living/ supportive living is a powerful milestone — and we’re here to make that transition smoother. Case managers work directly with Ripples to find supportive solutions.
Ripples may also provide limited support for individuals stepping into independent housing, helping with:
-
Basic apartment furniture
-
Bedding and home essentials
-
Transportation assistance
-
Work gear or clothing
Our goal is to ensure that taking the next step toward independence feels possible, not overwhelming.
Each transition plan is reviewed individually based on available resources and need. C
📚 Financial Wellness & Abundance Coaching
True renewal is about more than surviving — it’s about building the skills and confidence to thrive.
Ripples loan recipients have access to weekly Zoom classes led by former financial advisor and Abundance Coach Shay Aslett. Shay has helped dozens of Ripples clients reach meaningful financial and personal milestones by combining practical financial skills with a strong work ethic, accountability, and a can-do mindset.
Classes focus on real-life tools for building greater stability and self-reliance, including:
- Budgeting, saving, and managing money
- Building and repairing credit
- Preparing for housing and employment transitions
- Setting and reaching financial goals
- Developing an abundance mindset and financial resilience
The goal goes beyond repaying a loan. We want every Ripples recipient to leave with greater confidence, stronger financial habits, and a plan for moving forward.
How It Works
- Applicants are referred and sponsored by an established treatment center, supportive living/sober living program, or community organization.
- The applicant and their case manager provide the information needed for a simple, compassionate review.
- Approved loans of up to $1,000 are typically paid directly to the supportive living/sober living provider for rent and/or move-in costs.
- Recipients repay their loan at a low 4% APR, allowing those same dollars to help the next person — creating a self-sustaining cycle of support.
- Loan recipients also have access to weekly financial wellness and abundance coaching classes to build practical skills, accountability, and long-term self-reliance.
